We can't believe our son is already 5 years old! Seeing him grow into a smart, kind little boy has been the greatest joy. We feel so blessed to be his parents.
While we are loving our son, we have decided our family is ready to expand and have begun the process for a second surrogacy journey.
Reflecting on Our First Surrogacy Experience
Our first surrogacy experience taught us so much. We were fortunate to work with a fantastic surrogacy agency and concierge service. They guided us through every step - from choosing an egg donor and gestational carrier to the embryo transfer, the pregnancy, and finally the birth of our beautiful boy. Having this support made the complex process smooth and successful.
Considering Our Options
For our second surrogacy journey, we plan to use the same egg donor and work with the same concierge service. However, we have decided to find a new gestational carrier. We want to develop a close bond with someone new while maintaining our special relationship with our previous surrogate.
Sharing Our Knowledge
My husband Steve and I want to provide advice to others who are considering surrogacy, drawing on our personal experiences. I have a professional background in surrogacy, so I have in-depth knowledge of the process, laws, agencies, and more that I'm happy to share. Feel free to reach out with any questions! {Link to an Email template here }
Stay Tuned!
We hope you'll follow our blog as we search for a new gestational carrier and embark on the process again. We can't wait to grow our family and experience the magic of pregnancy, birth, and parenthood once more. We feel so appreciative of the science, professionals and selfless carriers that make surrogacy possible. More updates coming soon!

Planning for Baby #2
Gestational surrogacy
In this, the most common type, the surrogate has no genetic connection to the baby. The embryo is created using in vitro fertilization (IVF) with eggs from the intended mother (or a donor) and sperm from the intended father (or a donor). The embryo is then implanted in the surrogate's uterus and she carries the pregnancy to term.
Traditional surrogacy
Here, the surrogate's egg is fertilized with the sperm of the intended father (or a donor). The surrogate is genetically related to the baby. This type of surrogacy is less common now.
What Is Surrogacy?
Surrogacy is an arrangement where a woman (the surrogate) carries and delivers
a baby for another person or couple (the intended parents) who will raise the child
